WHERE NOTHING ISN'T NOTHING

There is nothing alive on the Sun.
The things not alive on the Sun
are not. The nothing alive on
the Sun is there. The there where
nothing lives isn’t only the Sun. Is
the Sun where nothing is? Nothing
alive at least. At least the light off
the Sun makes Earth alive. The light
off the Sun makes life not nothing.
The life alive becomes living
star-made things. There is life. There
was nothing alive. There was
the Sun. Oh, yes, there it was.

Matt Zambito is the author of The Fantastic Congress of Oddities, and two chapbooks, Guy Talk and Checks & Balances.
