ĒOSTRE

Elijah Acosta

Beautiful you, it’s you

through the rue

of spring’s first kiss:

Of warmth and bliss.

🎕

A far cry from ago, my love.

From the grasp of winter’s gloom

sprouts the heaven’s bloom

and embrace of above.

🎕

Your buzzing meadows of life

conquer all strife.

I’m made whole again,

refreshed, again and again.

🎕

Beautiful you, it’s me

beneath the oak and willow tree.

My breath flutters every time you come,

you are the queen to my honeycomb.

🎕

Don’t you see, baby?

Our passions one with the breeze,

there’s talk among the birds and bees

of how we’re perfect, you and me.

🎕

My hands on your hands,

grazing on the silk sands.

Extended by the equinox,

splayed out on the rocks.

🎕

And even as the sun beams fall,

with you, I’m ready for it all.
