BECAUSE
(after the Beatles)

Christian Torres

Because the oblong world,

it makes me scry,

and the wind—

psilocybin.

Oregon, love is

no paywall.

Give me ego death.

I was the border fence,

I was the frontier.

It is my human right

to blow my mind out

through a mushroom-shaped

keyhole in my breast.

The bluebird sky.

Aah.
