Aida Comeaux is currently a student at Portland Community College and has a passion for photography. She first took interest in photography during her freshman year of high school, starting out with film photography before expanding her knowledge with digital photography. She enjoys a variety of different aesthetics which reflects in her artwork, the most prominent one being the bittersweet aesthetic. She has always loved the bittersweetness from games, movies, stories, etc. Her main inspirations being Life is Strange, Silent Hill, Alice: Madness Returns, Corpse Bride, and the “dead girl” aesthetic. She is talented at capturing mysterious imagery and building parts of a story through her art. She enjoys photographing portraits of people close to her, night photography, harsh lighting, and high contrast images. Her passion for portrait photography started with a daguerreotype assignment she was given in high school. With those images she created a story about a widow grieving her deceased love, causing her to slowly go insane.
